transforming simple b/w graphic to a vector file

Recommended Posts

I have a simple black/white logo as tiff and I want to vectorize this, meaning creating a new vector file.

Can anybody help how to do this? I have the latest versions of AD and AP.

I masked the graphic in AP, but how can I create a vector file out of this mask?

I think its quite easy, but my mind is currently somehow blocked...

Thanks!

Hi H-nes,

To create a vector image from a non vector image you would have to trace it. At the moment there is no auto trace tool within Affinity Designer however this is something that may be added in the future as it has been requested in the past. You would have to trace the images by hand using the Pen Tool. I have included some links to tutorials below if you are not sure of how to use this tool. I hope this helps :)
