bjurasz
Trying to figure out how to do something Photoshoppy in Affinity Photo. Positive it can be done, just not how. I've got a layer on top of another layer. I've selected the top layer, grabbed the marquee tool, and selected a region of the top layer. I want to create a layer mask to hide the selection, so that I see the bottom layer for just this rectangle of the top layer. How to do? I don't see a layer mask | hide selection menu item. Thanks. Staff MEB Posted September 24, 2015 Staff Share Posted September 24, 2015 Hello bjurasz, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) I'm not sure i undertood you correctly. I belive you want to see trough the reactangle selection you have created in the top layer. If that's the case, with the selection created, press ⇧ (shift) + ⌘ (cmd) + I to invert it, so everything else is selected except the area inside the initial selection, then press the Mask Layer button on the bottom of the Layers panel. bjurasz 1 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
