Purpose: Stability

Requirements: None

 

As this is a beta release, it is considered to be not suitable for production use. This means that you should not attempt to use it for commercial purposes or for any other activity that you may be adversely affected by the application failing. In addition it is worth noting that files created in Affinity 1.5 cannot be opened in 1.4, which means files created with the Windows beta cannot be opened in the Mac AppStore version of Designer, instead you will need the latest macOS beta.

Is anyone else getting the unhandled extension thing? This is the 4th beta in which I am not able to launch the program because of that dialogue that comes up on the launch. I wonder if there is some compatibility issue with my computer. I really want to use the program again.

That was introduced in the latest Mac Beta and will be also in the next (I believe) Windows Beta. Aside from a few OS related differences, both versions (Win and Mac) will offer the same functionality/features.

Thanks, but digging for file in some opscure location is no fun :) should have a import/export user preference feature :o

We don't delete those files each time, but we did use a new folder name a few versions ago, so this is probably what you're seeing.
