affwin
Hi, very simple. I would like to know how future beta will be announced.Only via forum, mail or how? Old beta delete Y / N?Is not difficult to answer. Anyone who does not know can ignore this simple question.greeting Germany, Affinity Photo WIN 1.7 , LR6, WIN10
DarkClown
@Petal: (you really force me into beeing cynical :-) ) ... You're absolutely right, since the final version on Windows never left the beta status :-) The beta is supposed to give the developers feedback. Additional debug code is included (I assume). Changes for the final version run through a field test before beeing brought to the public. The final is (supposed to be) a productive and reliable version (what has never been the case, but at least that's the way it should be). Beta version come out far more often than final versions and allow to test these delicate new implementations - and hopefully provide soloutions earlier than the more rare final versions. i7-12700KF, 3.60 GHz, 32GB RAM, SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070, Wacom Intuos 4 Tablet, Windows 11 Pro - AP, AD and APublisher V1 and V2https://www.timobierbaum.com

You can check on Forum under "Affinity Beta support" for Betas or "News and information" under "Affinity support" for retail versions. You don't need to delete neither Betas nor Retails because instalation program do it for you. You can delete it only if you want to completelly remove it from your disk. DarkClown
Well, aside my darkness ... I'm so impatient ... and the questions remains: how will the new beta be announced? And ... Would it be reasonable to remove the old beta by deinstalling it? I guess considering the next "Final" will be the next new "Beta" that conclousion sounds reasonable ... looking forward! ;-) i7-12700KF, 3.60 GHz, 32GB RAM, SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070, Wacom Intuos 4 Tablet, Windows 11 Pro - AP, AD and APublisher V1 and V2https://www.timobierbaum.com
