Embedded workflow question

Recommended Posts

This might be  feature request, or maybe I am doing something wrong?

If I place/embed an AD document into an APhoto document, when I double click on the AD layer in APhoto it opens it in a  new document tab also in Photo.

My question is - if it is an AD document imported, shouldn't it open it in AD?  The Edit in AD option is not available for this embedded document either.

(linked documents as opposed to embedded would be nice also, but that's a different topic).

Thanks,

-damian

Hi Dorkboycomics

As far as I'm aware the document should stay open in Photo and not open in Designer however I will move this thread to Feature Requests as I think it would make a great addition to the app :)

There should then be a clear difference in the embedding behaviour between importing/placing and referencing/linking an Affinity app exchangable document here. Meaning it should be controllable if the original creational app should open and alter the referenced/linked in document or just deal with it as with any other imported document on it's own.
