Xavier
Hi, I came across a nice tutorial for post-processing Nothern Lights/Star photography using Photoshop On FStoppers (https://fstoppers.com/originals/advanced-six-step-program-processing-aurora-lightroom-and-photoshop-164984), and I was particularly interested in section 5 of this tutorial which aims at making "leading stars" bigger using luminosity masks. I have tried doing something similar in Affinity Photo using Blend Range tool (equivalent of luminosity mask in Affinity Photo) but I have not been successful. Using an unsharp mask filter and a lighten blend mode makes all the stars a little bit bigger (which is a good start) but I am after a more dramatic effect that only works on the biggest stars of the image (without going through the painful process of manually enhancing them one by one using local adjustments). Would someone be able to give me some pointers on how to achieve that? Thanks, Xav
Madame
Maybe you can use this tutorial? https://vimeo.com/209733323 Quote - Affinity Photo 2.3.0 - Affinity Designer 2.3.0 -Affinity Publisher 2.3.0 MacBook Pro 16 GB MacOS Sonoma 14.1.
Xavier
Well, this tutorial is using unsharp mask to enhance all the star details, but it does not enlarge the biggest stars of the image to make them pop, as the Fstoppers tutorial does.
