Drag JPG file onto AD gives error message

1) Create a new document in AD.

2) Drag any JPG file from Explorer into the window and let drop.

3) AD immediately prompts an error message stating 'Error with importing brush' (or similar. I translate this from my German install).

 

Note: the JPG file is not a brush and should not trigger a brush import.

 

Anyone else seeing this?
