Chintan
I have a new batch of photos to edit and I want to get things right the first time I don't know how much noise I should reduce in the photos. I usually keep the sliders at 70%, 45% and 35% for luminance, chrominance and detail respectively. For example, I'm sharing a photo via this link - how much should I reduce the noise levels? https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8coQayeEvXAVHQ2eWhTYTdNNEU/view?usp=sharing Thank you

Staff MEB Posted May 16, 2017 Staff Share Posted May 16, 2017 Hi Chintan, I don't think there's fixed values for this as it depends a lot on each photo (light conditions etc) and what you are trying to achieve. Usually you will want to find the point (balance) where removing the noise starts affecting image's details (removing/smudging/blurring them) which is (obviously) not desirable. James Rodriguez
Unless you're trying to achieve a soft look, I really can't detect a noise issue in that photo of the hand. Quote https://www.behance.net/jimmyrodriguez
