Undocked toolbar colour merges with background of some panels

Recommended Posts

Not a new issue and very minor point, but the background colour of Colour and Swatches studio panels are different to other panels (a lighter shade of grey). This is a good thing as means the undocked toolbar doesn't get lost, but not for the other panels. This is true for both dark and light UI.

Hey Jonopen,

This is something that I always notice but I do believe it is a design choice. I'd prefer to see panels and toolbars with a shadow on both sides or an outline around them but I don't think it will happen. I logged something similar a while back wherein you have one of the Affinity apps windowed and placed on top of the other app in fullscreen. It was hard to tell them apart due to the apps not having an outer shadow but it was closed as a design choice.

Thanks for the reply. I'm actually working on a fairly cramped laptop screen at the moment so I probably notice it a bit more than usual. It's not a big deal, it just catches my eye now and then. I suppose I should try with the toolbar docked for a change.
