caribike
Can I import pictures and photos using my scanner or do I have to go back and use PhotPlusX8? LaimonasJeuneese
Staff MEB Posted May 29, 2017 Staff Share Posted May 29, 2017 Hi caribike, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) No, Affinity Designer/Photo doesn't import/acquire images directly from scanners (on Windows). You have to use a third party software like VueScan or PhotoPlusX8. caribike 1 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Alfred
As discussed in this thread, you might also like to take a look at FastStone Image Viewer and/or IrfanView. caribike 1 Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.4.1 (iPad 7th gen)
Citizen Kane
Depends on your scanner. Newer Brother MFC scanners will scan directly into Affinity Photo using their Control Center Mac app.
John Rostron
On windows, if Affinity is set as the default program to open the output files from your scanning software, then it will load automatically when you save. For example I use VueScan and Silverfast. If I save as jpg, then it opens automatically in Affinity.
