Skilover
I would like to observe that my IpadPro 12.9 has been draining faster than usual. I have some concern that Affinity is a partial cause, as I have been leaving the app open. I absolutely cannot confirm any battery drain issues, I just am raising the possibility. I will close the app except when I'm actively using it, to see if things change. I am using IOS 10.3.3 (beta).
A_B_C
You can see the overall power usage of apps in the iOS preferences, if that will help you investigating the matter. :) ronnyb
Staff Chris B Posted June 20, 2017 Staff Share Posted June 20, 2017 Hey Skilover, Affinity will drain your battery as most apps do. My app has been open for 3 hours so far this morning and it has been in constant use. I have used 32% battery in that time and I don't find that to be a surprise. I'd be interested to see your reply following the advice from A_B_C though. donka
I haven't seen any abnormal battery drain with AP in the background on 3 different iPads although they are all running iOS 10.3.2. I would be wary about battery drain when running an iOS beta as it seems fairly common for users to experience higher battery drain when running a beta. Staff Chris B Posted June 30, 2017 Staff Share Posted June 30, 2017 I'm sorry but I'm a little perplexed as to why you are surprised the app is draining your iPad battery. How long will your battery last during use? As I've said above, 3 hours worth of heavy usage drains 1/3 of the battery and I can easily get a full day's use out of a single charge. mac_heibu 1 How to format a bug report | Learning Resources | List of V2 FAQs | YouTube Tutorials
