Custom persona category

Recommended Posts

The port is really quite nice, it's the deepest photo/illustration package yet on iOS.

But it would be great if there were a customizable persona category where the user could put their most commonly used tools all into one centralized toolbox. Sketchclub App on iOS has this feature, and it's the best quick access ui on the whole platform, imho.

Things like the selection persona take too many clicks to get to and use in conjunction with the other tools in other persona.

Someone using AP for illustration will likely be using a different subset of tools than someone using it for photo management.

Also, adding a third option for the pan zoom/rotate canvas slot, that does classic iOS pinch, twist, zoom like in procreate and sketch club would satisfy users accustomed to this ubiquitous convention, while leaving people still in the desktop/laptop ui paradigm their convention.

Custom Personas would be fantastic for Pros not only doing retouching work. I'm using both Designer and Photo for game art and would love to set up a persona for texturing. Especially on the iPad since the selection tools are way to many taps off from the brush and the node tool.

I've said i before and say i again: having customisable radial menus would also be great for desktop-class work speed. There are some really nice pro apps for sketching (Procreate) and writing (Ulysses; Scrivener) that I use at work but Affinity Photo is the pro app for the iPad I've been waiting for to cover texturing workflow. Yet It still feels hampered when compared to the desktop version if one is used to zipping around the UI with hotkeys (like all pros I know do). Really looking forward to future improvements to this fantastic application.

+1. People use AP for many different purposes. Painters don't need too many photo tools, photographers don't paint. I use to switch between opaque, transparent (color mixing), clone, dodge, burn and sponge brushes ALL the time. Having to press and hold to get one is a major drаg. Not having only a few customized tools and a color mixing palette is too.
