I just noticed that when I'm about to paint in a layer mask with black, I get a preview of what is about to show up in the layer beneath.

And a preview of what is about to be recovered when the color is set to white.

And a blend if I'm about to paint with a value between black and white.

SWEET!!!!!

Don't know if that was documented before but, damn!!! It is sooooo SWEET!! :D

Feeling good, the option eyedropper colour picker seems quicker now, more responsive, yay!

Mixer brush is still kinda weird, acts more like a smudge or liquify brush...?

Can I ask why or request please please, that the command spacebar and option command spacebar zoom tool behaviour get added. I don't see the reasoning for not having this. It's driving me crazy having to go to the navigator panel constantly... unless I am missing some other shortcut...

same request goes for AD pixel persona. What's the design rationale for deviating from this very widely used convention?  :)

What's "Blend Ranges" guys?

It is similar to Photoshop's "Blend If" feature, except that the user interface is a lot better. It basically allows you to make a layer partially transparent based on its luminosity or that of the layers below. For instance, you can use this to set up a layer so it only affects the shadows of your image, or you can quickly make a white background transparent for a test comp (you'll probably still have to unpremultiply somehow in most cases). You could, say, limit the effect of a saturation adjustment to the shadows by adjusting the curve for the underlaying layers ("Underlying Composition Ranges"). It is also great for exposure blending and so on.
