  1. First off, love Affinity suite of products for the Mac! Wonderful tools for professional photographers and amateurs alike. My wife is a more traditional artist who has little interest in learning dpi and pixel resolutions. She does everything by eye and intuition. She loves using affinity photo, but finds the saving of her images frustrating. She works intuitively, so does not think about exporting, or dpi or resolution. She just wants to play with her photo in Affinity, Resize visually, and save for whatever media type endpoint (usually social media). I understand, that simple things are usually the hardest to engineer, but usually the most rewarding.
  2. I also would like to throw a vote in for "force Pixel snapping" I recognize all the hats that need to be worn, I am a designer and heavy equipment operator, but the pixel snapping truly appears arbitrary, unless you constantly keep your eyes on the transform panel and constantly make adjustments there. I just want a giant check box button that truly "forces" pixel snapping, pixel transformation. Sure would make web work a lot easier when slicing assets.
  3. Auto slicing layers not honouring pixel snapping. Some layers sliced to sub pixel alignments even though the layer is snapped to full pixel alignment and has a whole pixel size boundary. Some layers, this is not a problem, and the layer is sliced correctly. Slicing some layers exports to the entire image size that has been cropped/clipped. example. An image of 1000x2000 is clipped/cropped to 500x500 Slicing either manually or by auto layer slicing that is showing 500x500 actually exports as 1000x2000 Sometimes slicing works, sometimes it does not. In either case, export persona is showing some serious issues.
  4. Absolutely! ++ Would be fantastic to have a panel showing all the fonts used in file, the ability to select a font and make a substitution or replacement with the option to embed or at least find in finder so a person can package the font for print setters.
  5. I'll Back this feature request, Actually was trying to figure out how to do this last night while building a logo.
  6. Absolutely agree! If you have a large brush collection with brushes that only have subtle differences, it is impossible to tell them apart in the brush panel. Nice Large Brush Icons Previews Please.
  7. Thank you, I will put in for the request. Dutchshader, thanks for the work around tip! Cheers, Mars
  8. Hello, I seem to be missing how to copy and paste fill and stroke for text exclusively. When I copy and paste style, to text, my text sizing and spacing changes also. I only want to copy the fill colour, and the stroke (colour, weight, mitre, draw behind fill) and paste that onto my art text. I do not want to also copy font, text size, character spacing, and other position and transformations. Is there a quick setting I am missing. thank you very much for you guidance. Mars
  9. Wow, lots of questions, I'll try and answer them all for you. Q1. Why is this a problem. A1. We have many files with multiple occurrences of a font we wish to replace. Q2. Are you opening all 500+ Files in one go, or just when needed? A2. We are not opening all 500+ files at the same time, we do need to change out all the fonts in these files though, one at a time before the end of the week for the printers. Q3. How often do you open files from a couple years back? A3. We are not opening files from years back, we are opening current product packaging files that are being prepped for print. I hope that answered all your questions. Anyone know of a solution, or tip, or a trick in a font manager, or even a terminal command trick? Thanks!
  10. Hello, Does anyone know of a nice way to make a global font replacement in all affinity documents? I have redesigned a font, and would like all uses of the old font to be replaced by the new font. example - Font A is in all affinity design and photo package designs, and would like Font B to replace it. Just looking for a solution that does not involve opening 500+ documents and *select* replacing every text appearance in each file. Thank you for any advice you may give. Mars
  11. Downloaded and tested the new Beta 5 Outline opacity works differently than in Beta 4, but still incorrectly ( compared to to how it correctly works in AD) see images attached. Inside Outline is still Masking the layer it is working on, instead of blending with the layer it is working on. Thanks. Mars
  12. Thank you Chris, I like how the fx Outline works in Aff-Designer. My work-a-round is to pull the image into AD and add the fx Outline there. Cheers, Mars
  13. Here are a couple before/after Screen Snap illustrating the issue.
  14. Hello Chris, No special steps. Affinity Beta 1.5.2 (beta 4) 1. Open Image 2. fx Panel 3. Outline > Normal / Inside / 3px / Black / Opacity 0%-50% Outline is working as a Mask, it is no longer blending with the background of the image. Not sure what is wrong with my set up here. Maybe I accidentally bumped a setting I do not know about? I have attached an image example. N2745F-test.afphoto
