Can you advise which of your software packages will be most suited for my project needs. The project is to create a street map. I'll be working from a reference image for scale (ie the streets and landmark layout) The reference is a PNG image. I'll use that on the bottom layer over which I'll place icons, images, draw a mix of vectors (boxes, lines) and place a variety of text objects in different fonts and styles. I'd like to work on layers so that I can hide, lock and edit the layers. The final result will be exported in PNG format, but other formats are welcome.
