Not very helpful, doesn't have the brushes and things that I need.

I especially commend the fact that Affinity products are sold outright rather than licensed, and was drawn to Affinity Designer by way of 'Serif products family user membership' since 1998 while those legacy products are not properly supported beyond Windows 7. As a 1953-born person with a learning difficulty, however, I experience steep learning curves with Affinity products and primarily wish that there could be, say, 'import Draw Plus .dpp file format options' for use with Affinity Designer.

I'm a newbie to Affinity Pro. I'm mainly using it for astronomy image adjustments and have downloaded some great macros for this. I have previously been using a 2020 version of photoshop which I can't upgrade without going to subscription, which I diont want as it's just a hobby. Affinity seems to do everything photoshop does, although many things are in different places and have to be found, so a bit of a learning curve. I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend it.

Can I start by saying that I am 76 years old. I recently bought a new camera and Affinity Photo 2 with the intention of improving my photography from taking snaps to trying to take descent photographs. I am having problems with both my new camera and Affinity. The main reason for this I put down to my age and not so brilliant memory. My camera is a Canon EOS R50. The user manual is 800 pages long (I kid you not)! I am gradually getting to grips with it, but it is taking me a lot longer than I expected. Affinity Photo 2 Affinity Photo 2 is my only experience of photo editing software, so I cannot offer any comparisons with any other software. Affinity is a very powerful programme, more so than I really need. My main problem with it is I don't find it very intuitive, I am struggling to achieve what I want, even when following on-line tutorials. Obviously this is not helped by my age/memory situation. However, I intend to persevere until I have at least learnt the basics! Do I recommend Affinity Photo 2? YES: If you are young, quick to learn and would use a lot of the wizardry available. NO: If you are like me and struggle to learn new things, or if you are unlikely to use most of the features the software offers. I believe that there are a lot simpler programmes out there, many of which are free. I hope this helps you decide if you should buy Affinity Photo 2 or not!
