I bought Affinity Photo 2 recently to replace Photoshop CS6 when I bought a new Mac as I didn't want to go down the Photoshop subscription route. I am just an amateur and only do basic photo editing. Affinity Photo 2 does what I need and there are plenty of videos online to help but perhaps unusually I typically save several steps when editing a photo. With Photoshop CS6 I used to edit and save steps as tiff files with layers (not psd files) but with Affinity Photo 2 it seems I have to edit in the proprietary afphoto format and then export to tiff and jpg at the end which is a bit clunky. I realise that for most people this won't be an issue and otherwise I am happy with the editing process although I still have a big learning curve ahead.

Ich hatte noch nicht so viel Gelegenheit, mich damit zu beschäftigen, weiß aber inzwischen, dass ich viele (vielleicht sogar alle?) wichtigen Funktionen, die ich noch von QuarkXpress und FrameMaker (ja, so alt bin ich ;) kenne, hier auch gefunden bzw. sicherlich noch finden werde - und garantiert auch noch mehr.

A very easy and user friendly software, I am new to the photo editing world and I found the product to be easy to follow and understand the processes to edit my images. There is helpful tips and tricks at the beginning of the software when opened which has also helped me. Great product.

I didn't have time to try everything new yet, but so far I'm very satisfied with the purchase. I mentioned before how disapointed I was with adobe Illustrator and Photoshop because the only to keep working with those is with a very expensive subscription. I'm pleased I can work in my former Illustrator documents with Affinity.

Easy purchase and a great group of programmes and looking forward to cutting the Adobe cord entirely. Very easy to to get to grips with, so don't be worried about taking the leapz you won't regret it.

Exelent software by far and is affordable for new designers. Here I made better poster designs as in other softwares

Haven't really used it to it's full capacity as yet but has been very simple to use during my run of the mill editing.

AI generation would be great, as well as a wider range of vector images. Overall, it's excellent value for money. I'm enjoying it as a beginner, and also it being able to export in 400 dpi. I am recommending it to anyone that asks, and it was recommended to me. Other platforms are too expensive.

These products are superb. I can run all three on Windows, Mac and iPad on the one license, they do everything I need and more, they’re are easy to use and the results are spectacular. Why would anyone buy Adobe?
